When Andrew was born he was welcomed into two homes–his own and also the
home of his grandparents, Joyce and Richard Holtzman of Allentown, Pennsylvania.

The Holtzmans are one of 4.5 million grandparents who cares for a grandchild.

Richard is a product designer who designed the Baby-Everywhere Information Station with the wish to provide instant help to parents and grandparents and babysitters if

To Prevent Falls
• Take your baby with you if you must reach for
anything which prevents you from keeping at
least one protective hand on him on any place
from which he might fall.
• Push chairs under the table so a toddler cannot
climb on them.

Stairs
• Keep stairs clear of items that could cause you to
fall when carrying the baby.
• Use the handrail every time to block a fall.
• Have stairs well lighted to see each step
when carrying your baby.
• Replace worn or loose carpeting.
• Install safety gates at the top and bottom of stairs.

Crib
• Keep the crib side rail in “up” position.
• Put the mattress at its lowest level before your
baby sits up.
• Keep pillows, fluffy toys, bumpers out of the crib
that a toddler can climb on and fall out of the crib.

Changing Table
• Use a safety strap.
• Switch from using the table to the crib or the
floor when your baby is four to eight months old.

Windows
• Open windows from the top.
• Install latches to keep windows from opening far
enough for a child to slip through.
• Put a window guard on each window. A screen
will not protect your child.
